| Debunker |
An individual who discredits and exposes claims as being false, exaggerated, unscientific or pretentious. The term debunker is applied when a person functions as an activist and performs research, writes articles, gives speeches, conducts seminars, or engages in other activities with the specific intent of discounting the validity of a claim. Debunkers often focus on topics such as U.F.O.s, paranormal phenomena, conspiracy theories, alternative medicine, religion, and research outside mainstream science. Debunkers may or may not be academically qualified in their area of activism, and may/may not be financially compensated for their efforts.

French term for “already seen,” the feeling or illusion of having previously experienced an event or place actually being encountered for the first time; also called “false memory,” or “memory without recognition,” although the phenomenon could conceivably involve precognitive or clairvoyant information.

A form of dissociation. A mental state, usually triggered by trauma, characterized by the individual's ability to intellectually perceive and respond to emotional stimuli, while unable to actually feel it in any meaningful fashion. Detachment is usually temporary, though it can be intentionally induced and prolonged.

(Slang) Reference to a person whose psi ability was intentionally learned and developed through training.
It is speculated that the "developed" or "trained" psion has an advantage over naturals, having greater skill in mental focus and refined techniques to accomplish their goal. (There is no concrete data to support this, only anecdotal).

It is drawn to the new person due to their personality affinity. A personification of one's inner fears, and a hurdle to be overcome before achieving enlightment or adepthood. The term was coined by Sir Bulwer Lyton in his novel Zanoni (1842). Also called Guardian of the Threshold.
