Bold move Saintbob, i commend you for your confidence and self esteem. It may help to explain that at all ends the universe is merely energy and waves on the quantum level. As such, if your thoughts are strong enough to override the waveform of the subject, it will move with the wave. Provided the object is not obstructed by a hindrance, such as gravity waves, or another waveform working against you.

First off I agree. Satanism and witchcraft are seriously misunderstood, However there are kids out there who are only feeding the mass hysteria.

Second, I knew she would accept it.. at least a little bit. She's always been supportive and what not. She's always loved the paranormal. And well.. it's still hard for her to grasp. I told her that everything was connected and it's been proven via quantum physics and math that I don't fully understand. Which is one reason I think she didn't shun it right away.

I have to show her again tonight, so she knows:

I think the easiest way to help her not freak out is explaining that its safe, as your mum i would think that's her main concern that your either A) into something satanist etc or B) something equally dangerous, explaining how everything is energy etc may help.

what made you start learning in the 1st place ? maybe that would help her understand too?

anyways good luck with your next demonstration to her, im sure she will understand. Maybe you will have to start teacher her before too long lol :P

Well, I don't have to worry about her thinking I'm a satanist. She knows that I am very much against religion in general. =p

first off the book of wicca, which people use to practice witchcraft is just a book that some guy wrote as just that.... a book. He admited that he made the whole thing up.
Satanism on the other hand is much more real. Yet they do none of what we are practicing here.
I am a big practicioner of Qi Gong and meditation and now PK. The only person i have told is my wife and my lil brother. My wife sort of believes in all of this but not really. My brother on the other hand believes it all but doesnt practice.
If i were to tell my parents or most of my friends they would think that i was doing satan's work.....
None of what we do have to do with anything spiritual and i dont think the rest of the world will ever believe that. If i were to start to fly around town by my own energy about 90% of people would think im some spirtual person getting my power from some higher life. Even though science has proven that every person has a unexplained "bioenergy"/"chi" in them.

I don't like to talk about religion here. That is just to keep things pure and, academic. However I will convey this just to be informative:

I would argue the contrary concerning theistic satanists. They tend to utilize many of the psionic aspects in they're daily life. They also have meditations anchored towards increasing your physical leverage, also known as power meditation, allowing the easier applications of psionics.

However, LaVayan satanism, and Modern satanism, tend to fit your description better. They dont bother with the powers of the mind.

I asked my mum once how she would reacted if I ever did something such as psychokinesis in front of her, and her exact words were "I would sh*t my pants" She's very much into the paranormal, and I've considered showing her empathy, and my predictions through precognition. I think the definitive thing for showing parents though is PK.

Wow that is something to be proud of where I am from (which most people are extremist catholics) they would probably send me to a insane asylum. I tell very few people and the people who I do tell eventually forget about it.

But that took guts I imagine the day when I could tell my parents and they would understand who I am.

Wow! I wish I'd read this thread a couple of weeks ago. I told my brothers & girlfriend then. Boy was that scary, especially since I had just started moving the psi-wheel. I was afraid of performance anxiety, as well as that they might think I was nuts:) However, all responded well; My best friend was like,"I've been waiting for you to do this for years dude." It must be harder if you're younger though:)

I never told my parents. I think they should be hysterical if they ever knows. 

You should ask her to make a sandwich, and then see how long it takes for her to either run off to do it right away, or come back with "why don't you practice your sandwich making mind-powers"
