A delayed hello

Hello to one and all. I joined this site quite a while ago to learn more about my developing Psionic abilities. However, various distractions in my life caused me to forget it existed. I was going through my old bookmarks the other day and I rediscovered the link here, logged into my old account, and started to browse around. What I believe I've found is a community of seemingly like-minded individuals that embrace these abilities as much as I do. Having been an aspiring Psion for about three years now, I'm eager to learn anything and everything I can about Psionics. I look forward to being a part of this community, both as a learner, doer, and maybe someday an online teacher.

I was self-taught in Psionics for my first two years, then, in my third, acquired a skilled master to train me. Under his guidance, I've far surpassed what I ever believed to be possible. Also, not to sound pompous, but I felt myself recently ready to undertake teaching Psionics to a close friend. My pupil has developed remarkably in the space of a mere few weeks and shows ever-increasing promise.

I feel one thing above all should be known about me if I'm to be accepted for who I truly am though, and that is the fact that I work in a dark medium rather than light. While I do stray into elements every now and again, I gravitate towards darkness as my main focus. I know this won't be taken well, and it honestly won't surprise me if I get banned for my ideas, as they tend to be controversial, but I felt I might as well come clean with who I am before anyone gets too used to me.

Now that I've told a bit about myself, I also have a question: Every time I draw a significant amount of energy, those I know who can see and sense such things tell me I sprout a pair of large, black, feathered wings. Is this or something similar a phenomenon anyone else here has encountered before, and if so, could someone please explain its nature to me?
