Okay, seriously; Why do you think you're a furry?
As long as we're here, you deserve the benefit of the doubt; and respect.
Personally I find being a furry to be about as defining as your favorite color.
I don't see the point of making a big deal about it from either end.
I'm an oddball that couldn't fit in such a confining category, and being that, lifes taught me that not only is it rude, but its also rather ineffective to rely on stereotypes. Stereotypes are the product of limited observations, laziness.
Your a furry? Thats cool.... I'm a capricorn, a lover of the cello, a farmer, and so on. Pretty much how I feel about the whole furry thing. Its just another way to define yourself and to feel unique, which is in my opinion is one of the greatest parts of the human experience.
Life allows you to construct yourself to an extent that makes you different from everyone in your own ways, and yet at the same time allows you to Share and and have in common this experience. We are all different, and somehow yet the same.
I think its kinda funny..... I don't see the point of making the whole "furry" thing out to be like its a lifestyle..... and neither do i understand all the negative attached to it.

I'm a "furry" because I have this part of me that's not normal. My fursona is just a way for me to express that part of me. Also, I find the whole lifestyle cool and fun and the art can be amazing (the porn is ok, too, I guess, but let's keep this PG, shall we?).
And what I meant by I'm a furry and a psion is that in real life I'm a psion, but I also have a fursona.
The reason I tell everyone this is because I just like starting debates and I feel that if there are people who may have misconceptions about furries, I can hopefully clarify some of those things. Its a very emotional thing for me when people are rejected because of prejudice, and I'm just trying to enlighten those who do not understand so as to try and prevent such ignorance and hate.
Oh god.. browsing these forums too long causes a stress within me, this must be the reason of the existence of 'nervous tension'... that is simply: not going to happen... :)
It would be easier if all members around the forum met each other via surprise on some kind of event. Fear is a thing that generates more of itself, therefore it is vital to dispose yourself of it.
