Hello!

I've been trying to spin a psiwheel for the last few of weeks(6-7, I don't remember the precise date I started), with no success whatsoever... I read all the info/guides, and tried most(if not all) the techniques mentioned, I could find both here and on psipog, but nothing seems to work.

Do you have any ideas on what the problem may be, and how to solve it?

Thanks,
Caladluin

Re: In need of help

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

There are 2 things that seemed to help me get mine twitching:

After some intense visualization on spinning the psiwheel, you could try to completely relax and just look at the psiwheel with a blank state of mind (it's a matter of intent and indifference about the outcome). This would be the "just do it" method, I guess.

You could take a break every once in a while and "ground and center" by visualizing old psi flowing into the ground and new psi coming in through your legs, rest of the body and then flowing out through your hands and head. You could also do it in reverse - coming in through the head and going out through the legs - depends on what you are drawing psi from. Be careful not to overwhelm your head or any internal organs with this.
What keeps stopping me on my pk training seems to be the reflexes that shield the object, whenever I see any "impossible" movement. Also, whenever I get excited about the results, it either stops or gets really difficult to move anything any further, as it becomes difficult to keep my mind calm.

Time and results are unimportant when it comes to practicing something. I think that what really matters, is the process of the practice, so you should make it as fun as possible and try different exercises (pk not only on the psiwheel, but on book pages, dust particles, soap bubbles, smoke and so on). Furthermore, you could practice other psionics skills like manipulating psi, empathy and others as well (they could also boost your pk).

Re: In need of help

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for taking so much time to reply, I wanted to take the time to check your suggestions.

My situation seems to be precisely the same - unable to do anything to affect the psiwheel, even after trying your suggestions :S

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Re: In need of help

No problem.

Hmm..

A few more ideas:

Try practicing with something other than psi-wheel for change. You could try a tiny piece of paper balanced on the corner of your display or a toothpick on a bowl of water. Or perhaps a stasis field exercise that owltwelve suggested here: http://...

I sometimes found it easier to twitch the psi-wheel after I had touched it with my finger - it should be easier to affect objects that are already moving. I guess the stasis field exercise would fit here as well.[/*]

Although pk practice in itself should be a good enough concentration exercise, you could also try meditating and visualizing the creation of your own world (or simply an island). Or any other visualization like keeping something stable or balanced.[/*]

Watch others do it and try to feel what they feel when they are doing it (see youtube videos on all kinds of *kinesis and *bending).[/*]

Sometimes taking a few days off helps to regain all those lost minerals and flush away the reflexive constructs that might be keeping your progress.[/*]
Well, the first one is basically the same as the last one in my previous post.
In any case, you can do it and you will do it!  ;)

Re: In need of help

Try using affirmations. The thing is, you will never achieve any psi effect if your subconcious doesnt think you can. So how do you make your subconcious go with it? Affirmations. What I did was get into a meditative state (meditate for about 20 minutes) and then I'd just repeat over and over out loud "I am psychokinetic, I am psychokinetic, etc" over and over. Since your in a meditative state your subconcious is open to suggestions. After a bit of doing this you should get drastically better results. At least, I know I did. This can be applied to any area of psionics.

Re: In need of help

Also, don't try too hard, or focus too hard. Things will be more difficult that way.

~Things happen when you least expect them too~

Re: In need of help

Yeah, its a lot less "active" then most people think. Just relax, relax, relax, and then just look a tiny bit past one of the points of the wheel, and just kind of know that its going to move, but don't care if it does or doesn't.
