Would you power, and anchor constructs, and or wards to celestial bodies such as the moon, or ley lines? I had an argument with a friend over this, and would like to know what you think. What are your experiences with doing so? Were they positive, or negative? Specifically, did you find the construct/ward lasted longer when drawing power from these places?
Anything bound with energy from the moon will be stronger during the waxing phases, and weaker during the waning phases. Binding energy from the sun will be strongest during the summer months, you get the picture.
There are both positive and negative effects, just knowing when to expect them is what will make them effective in the long run.
Would it be okay to connect the construct to an alternate power source to draw from during those weaker periods?
Constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to different power sources makes the connection to those sources weak. So even if the source is in a "waxing" phase, you may still have poor results. Long term connections lead to strong bonds, and better input capacity.
So either learn to time things to your advantage, or find a more reliable resource.
How about the Earth, your body and the Sky?
Earth is probably the easiest way to draw Energy from. It is also the most accessible. If you remember back in PsiPog days, their first source was the Earth itself.
The Sky is another good source of Energy, only slightly (to my opinion) harder to draw. I think the important part is not only Energy but also Cleansing.
What I would like to hear is about Planet Energy and if it is possible to draw from there.

I, personally often draw energy from the earth due to my connection with it (my zodiac is capricorn which is of the earth element). Although I have never heard of drawing energy from a celestial object, that would be an immense power source, depending on what it is, if the link was strong enough. But I would imagine there would be side effects. Like, if you connected a construct to the sun, what would happen during a solar flare? Would it explode with energy, or would it scramble the programming completely? If it was connected to the moon, what would happen during a solar or lunar eclipse? And as for ley lines... I live near one but I dont draw energy from it because the energy I get from it feels... wierd. Idk how to explain it. But, this is definitely something to look into, VERY interesting.

How do you go about finding lay lines?
I managed to find an aether nexus once, there is some extremely powerful energy in those. I found it in the middle of some warped earth that created a forested grove. It also has a weird energy about it.
Whats an aether nexus?
Ley lines are high in energy related to the earth, they arent hard to find. You can find a ley line nexus at the intersections of such lines, there is a hell of a lot of energy around those. You can possibly find lines along ancient roads or pathways, or man-made markings, like at the Nazca Lines in Peru (those are rumored to have immensly powerful ley lines near them), and huge nexuses might be found at ancient monuments, such as at Stonehenge, or the Great Pyramids (there are wierd energies around that place, and wierd sensations/experiences have been reported by non-psions, as well). They may have been used as a sort of ley line energy dam, to channel the energies of the nexus. Idk tho, its just my theory. But as for finding one near you, there are weaker lines all over the place, you just have to go and look for them. Sense the energies of the earth, and they will lead you to the ley lines like a road.

There is always a little bit of aether floating around on the physical plane, and when you visit higher planes via astral projection there is higher aether abundance. An aether nexus I suppose could be described as an area where the boundary between planes is thin, and more aether can slip through. These are more difficult to find than lay lines being that there is no set area where they could be, you pretty much have to stumble across them.
As for lay lines, I was doing some research last night because I didn't really want to wait for an answer. I actually found a google earth overlay for lay lines, apparently I live 3 hours away from a primary intersection. So I figure I'm going to go for a day trip.

I've heard of ley lines before, though..
The biggest ghost/demon problems pop up around their intersections.
Which means (if that information is correct) these areas around ley lines give more power, something for the ghosts to feed off of.
Either that, or it's all hokum..
Just a speculation, but I'm pretty sure that all souls and ghosts need regular exposure to aether in order to maintain themselves. Being that souls and ghosts are pure energy that is configured a curtain way, and aether is an unstable particle that must conform to whatever the first influence is. So souls can use it to recharge and would be naturally attracted to this. Again, just a speculation based on observation.
If this is true though, that would mean Ley Lines consist of aether. This would also mean that most psionic feats in the class of energy manipulation and psychokinesis would become easier due to the amplifying effects of aether.
