Who can flare? im just getting right to the point. And by flare I dont mean anytime you want or in a split second, I mean like if you actually take your time and try can you do it?
I will answer my question...Yes I can somewhat flare in pitch blackness I have done this many times even with witnesses. Had my whole family shocked actually and im not looked down on for what I do because of it. some of my family actually thinks its satanic lol...
i can sort of flare. i dont know what to call it though, its not mine give off light, its more the energy in my hands becomes visible and looks like snakes of smokish/light twirling between my hands. it looks very neat, i can make this happen within about 1 or 2 minutes of making a ball. i want it to really light up good though so i can be like "suck it easy" to the skeptics :o
am i on the right track for making them give off light though?
yeah i hate it that i cant just bring out the light!!!! it gets on my nerves so bad because i feel like its right there and im like wtf do i gotta do?? soon im just gonna try to overload a shelled ball with as much energy my body can handle, spin it as fast as my mind can percieve, and see if i get any results. hopefully i dont just pass out :o that would kinda suck but hey if i woke up and saw a ball of light floating i would be like :D and it would all be worth it lol!
please can someone experienced with flaring give us wannabe flarers some good advice?
Flaring happens when a person has little control over an ability and it spikes in a sporadic manor. it is usually seen when a person awakens to their ability in Psionics in general or to a specific ability. usually this is a sign that this part of their abilities is un managed and needs to be brought into control. when a flame has combustables thrown upon it it flares and for a similar reason. it is out of control and wants to be let loose. to flare is to be out of sync with yourself. what you are looking at doing is to be able to "see" energy. that would be a form of Ethereal projection. I am doing a class on Technopathy which deals lightly on this subject. if you would like to join let me know.
Lol, really satanic? That's hilarious (well, I feel sorry for them and all (they must be scared to tears) but still...). I have to wonder how many people's families actually know they do these things.
Try not to flare in public because people will point you and most of the times dont have good intentions. Its good that you made it though. Congratulations. :)
Satanic? Well, then again, I can see how it would freak people out.
The most I've ever done is make the ball semi visible, and get some sparks of light. I don't really often do anything with flaring though, as I prefer to actually get a task done when I create a construct.
Unfortunately most people still see us like freaks... They cannot understand us... And even if one of us makes it, the others try to discredit him/her...
But flaring is definitely impressive...

That's an awfully limited point of view. I agree that flaring is unusual to a degree that detracts from those who claim they can's credibility. I've seen two flares in the five + years I've been making constructs on a daily basis. Neither lasted more than five or so seconds and I'm not entirely convinced it wasn't a trick of the eyes/brain. Also, you can force yourself to see things much more easily than you can actually flare something. Optical illusions are infinitely more common. Ockham's razor, if there's a simpler explanation it's probably right.
well if you're going to throw ockham's razor at it I would say it did happen.
"the thing lit up" is alot simpler than "something shiny shined sunlight inside and onto my hand."
but I've always believed that nothing's "impossible" just "very impractical with our current knowledge/abilities."
Flaring is possible. There are people throughout history who achieved such a Level.
