In a dream I once had I was able to move a bucket up a hil using TK. However the next morning I was unable to repeat the incident with anything, let alone a bucket. I thought(as you did) maybe it wouldn\'t happen right away but later. I still am unable to perform TK. So your brain is probably just working through the problem of your PK and trying to solve it. Don\'t ask me what the problem is (your the only one with access to your head unless you know a mind reader) so you\'ll just have to figure it out for yourself.
Well, and this could be the most out-there theory I\'ve ever had, but...
We\'ve all probably heard about the year 2012, how it\'s supposed to be the end of the world. Well, it is also said, and I\'m sorry I can\'t quote who or where this came from, as I heard it so long ago. But, what I heard was that the psions during this year, after the whole \'end of the world\' thing, are supposed to gain access to whatever latent abilities they have. As we know, dreams, especially ones as realistic to you as the one you described, are like windows into your alternate self. SO...what I\'m getting at is...maybe pyrokinesis is your latent ability, just waiting for you to unlock it.
Yea I know, it sounds fluffy, it sounds whatever cute word you want to call it, but before you get all narrow-minded on me, take a second to consider it. After all, it\'s just a thought I\'ve had, that I wanted to share when the opportune question was asked.
As for me, I\'ve had these kind of dreams before. In my dreams, I am able to manipulate/wield electricity to an astounding degree. Can I do this now? Nah, lol, but I\'m working on the correct visualizations to do it.

I have had a dream similar to this, quite a few infact. most of them are not going to come true if at all for some time. SOme of them HAVE come true. My Emapthic, Telepathic and Telekinetic (suggesting movement) suggestion abilties which are now to a great extent were once a dream. I now have PK or rather Telekinesis abilities that i had dreamed about (i had a more recent dream that my abilities in this skill were much greater so maybe it might expand), Technokinesis was a dream but now i can use it a great deal (change trafic lights, search for and find information in a computer and other simple things), Electrokinesis isnt were i dreamed it would be yet but it has grown alot since then. I have a lot of abilities that were once in a dream but also alot of the abilities i dreamed about arent there yet. So i am on the track to thinking that dreams like that are a bit precog a bit not. that is my take on it. Oh and Pyrokinesis in my opinion might not get the point of lighting yourself on fire but the concept of having an extreme ability that you dream about simply because of the dream is plausable in my opinion.
