I'm asking for your opinion on my ways of practicing PK.

Okay, I'm trying to practice PK as metalforever suggests all psions to do. However, my ways to go about practicing everyday varies a lot. At one day I'll try the psi wheel, and another day I'll roll pens and another I'll go about manipulating energy with elements etc. My PK results aren't that concrete either. So, do you think it's a good idea for me to stick into the psi wheel ad get the control down before I move onto variants OR I should continue to vary my practice so I won't get bored with the psi wheel to death? (1 year of psi and no PK results on the wheel, it has become something obsolete too e_e)

I do the same exact type of

I do the same exact type of routine you do and I'm still not that good yet, lol. But I would recommend practice on one per week. Like, one week, you would be practicing on your elementals, and the next week, you would be spinning the psi wheel. But If you practice every day(7 days straight), I would give 1 or two days off and then start back the next day on a different trick. Thats how I've been practicing and its been easy on me. But I'm one of the many novices and pro's here.

Can\'t Concentrate....

The method I have always used in order to concentrate is closing my eyes, then just letting my thoughts rush over me. After maybe 30 seconds, slowly imagine the images fading into a calming darkness, and the sounds gradually turning to static. Once static is all that remains, you may feel as if your body is swaying. Eventually, you will be able to turn the static off. At this point, you should be able to block out all unnecessary thoughts and focus on the task at hand. Do this every so often, and it will become second nature. Don\'t be discouraged if nothing happens the first few times you attempt psionics. The most important thing is confidence. You should never hope that something will work, or express doubt. Know that it will work, whether the results are noticeable or not.

Counting breathes is a simple yet effective technique. Taking a walk and concentrating on something is good too (naturally, I concentrate on nature when I do that). Try to develop your own meditation techniques.

I also used these things called Isochronic Tones. You listen to them, and they can calm you down, or help you focus, or even help get rid of pimples! [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /] I know there\'s a site that gives them for free, just google Isochronic Tones.

Can\'t Concentrate....

Try this focus exercise,

light a candle in the dark (make sure to keep TV and all distractions ON).

Focus on the candle until you achieve perfect focus (You will know. Tunnel vision is created when you achieve strong focus).

Try to hold it for as long as you can.

I\'m being vague, it\'s intentional.

Can\'t Concentrate....

One thing you deffinatley want to do in your meditation is have a focus. Meaning, you are trying to do something in your meditation. For example, Buddists meditate on virtues written about in their religious books, trying to obtain those virtues themselves by meditating on them. You may not want that, but you want to have the same concept. You want to have something that you are aiming for. Most likely, it will be focus, it which you would try to focus as hard as you could for as long as you could in order to practice it and get better at focusing. I hope that made sense.

But one other thing that might be a little under-rated is your meditating position. I usually sit on my bed, BACK STRAIGHT, eyes closed, hands comfortably in my lap, and my legs in that crossed position that I don\'t know the name of [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/unsure.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"unsure.gif\" /]

The position really affects your meditation. I won\'t suggest laying down, because with my experience with that, I get sleepy. Really, any position that will work for you in what you\'re trying to do is good.

Plan out your meditation before you actually start. This will save you the distraction of what to do after you, say, counted breaths, or focused on an object, etc. This is also necessary if you want to have a goal/focus like I talked about above.

And don\'t forget to relax!
