First of all, i mean this post seriously and not in jest or whatnot. (Also, i am lazy with my capitalization when typing, im not an idiot or 12 years old, just lazy).

Okay. I was introduced to psionics many years ago and fell away from it mostly because i was young and lost interest and didnt want people thinking i was crazy. Well now i am married, have a kid and my husband and i are interested again (legitimately). This, however, is slightly off-topic from the psiball and meditation and whatnot. This is going to sound stupid, but we were at the fair and for fun saw a psychic. She knew more than she ever could (without either of us saying a word) and (because i know the feeling) i FELT her, energy-wise, tapping into me, or something (again, its been forever since ive done any of this type of thing). Anyway. She wants to charge us all sorts of money to go see her again and get a full reading and help us through some of the issues she "saw" but im not sure we should. Im second guessing the whole thing. She gave us stones to keep with us so that she can chanel (?) us, im not even sure thats how its supposed to work. I believe she really did pick up on stuff, but im not sure she could actually help with anything, and id rather not pay more money to hear what we already heard.

I guess my question is, can she be "the real deal"? and if so, can she actually help? im not sure where the psi community stands on psychics and all that jazz. Thanks in advance. (Also, you'll probably see me a lot on here as i get back into practicing and learning psi im so glad i found this website :))

Re: Seeing a psychic?

Welcome to the forums Skittles!

First, I am glad that you are asking for assistance with this situation. Psychics in general are nothing more than scam artists. There are a few legit ones, but I seriously doubt you'd ever find them at a fair unless they are there as a customer themselves. I suppose it is possible that you found a rare gem in a sea of costume jewelry but my first instinct when reading this is that of warning. There are those who have some psionic ability who use their abilities strictly for financial gain. You probably want to steer clear of these type of people. Even if the advice is good it will be tainted with bad karma.

If this psychic were willing to give the full reading for a donation of your choosing, that would be an entirely different situation.

My advice: Stay clear of the psychic and instead focus on yourself. The answers will come if you open your mind to them. Start small with meditation and gradually move up as you feel ready for.

Re: Seeing a psychic?

Thats typical of a fair psychic. Wether they really do or not, they will _always_ tell you they see bad things, so that you will come back and pay for another session. They convince you that you need thier "help".

Maybe she is legit. Maybe not. Either way, I'm pretty sure she's just trying to lure you into buying another session off her.

Re: Seeing a psychic?

In this case there are two possibilities: The psychic is fake or the psychic is real. Whatever the case you should never spend money on the 'reading', here's why:
If she was a fake, obviously the reading wouldn't be accurate.
If she was real, you could probably learn that ability anyways, so why spend money on something you can get for free? ;)
