Feelings towards PK

It is pretty natural to be afraid of the unknown, it is the human condition pretty much. Many would say that what you must do with that fear is realize why you are afraid, exactly. You have answered this by discussing your fear that demons and spiritual entities exist in the astral realm, and by going there they would be more drawn to you. Is that last part right? I'm just guessing.

I can't say that I am afraid of what is out there. Many things get a scare out of me, but the dreams I have experienced are more intense then anything else I could imagine. When I was a child, I was horrified that if I was not under my blanket at night, then chuckie and freddy crouger would get me. I still have a risidual habbit from that fear, I can't sleep with my feet uncovered. I'm no longer afraid that anything will get me, but I just can't fall asleep without something covering my feet. I had gotten over that fear a long time ago by stating in a completely spooky and dark place that I was here, and that if they so chose, killing me would not hinder me, nor would torture. Infact, I remember shouting it, because I was litterally scared stiff and full of adrenaline, goose bumps everywhere.

After this, I stood for awhile in the darkness, listening to all the not so scary sounds waiting to possibly be killed. After nothing happened, I realized that I could be scared all I want and it wouldn't matter. Scared or not, if I was going to die, I was going to die. I lived that day and have lived since then, when I die, I will simply die, it won't be spectacular, and the way by which I arrive there will not matter.

A curious thing about that night, after it, I "gained" the ability to control my goosebumps at will. So the moral is, if there is demons and other spiritual beings in this realm or others, either way, it doesn't really matter, if they wanted to harm you they would, and since they thus far havent, I'm guessing they wouldnt even if you did go astral. I imagine they would be concerned with their own ordeals, and not even take notice to an astral human. Sorry for the lengthy post :p, just sharing my experiences and thoughts.

On the initial question, I would feel excitement and relief for finally accomplishing that feat.  I have several ideas about how to do it but I haven't had the time (or support) to work on it.

As for your comments on spirits, demons and Astral travel, they are all real but nothing to fear as long as you try to understand about them. Demons can be a problem if you are weak willed or invite them in. Since it takes a powerful act of willpower to achieve anything more than informational psi, I don't think most readers here will have a problem.

So they are real ... has anyone seen a demon? When i succeed in PK i generally get into this sensitive state of mind where my perception is heightened, i can feel everything around me, and sometimes I 'sense' other beings. And when I get to that point I generally stop and don't go any further because of my fear. This is going off topic again, apologies mods.

Wyndle, so what exactly do demons do? I mean, do they wander the Astral looking for people to enter or something? On that note, exorcisms, possessed people - is there a link?

I know I will eventually have to deal with my fear. Like Joekerr's fear of Freddy Krueger, I have to somehow confront it head on cause this seriously hindering my practice.
I can relate to the feet not being covered part, although now I don't mind haha.

I cannot say for certain what demons do.  I would surmise from my limited interactions with them that they are the Spirit plane equivalent to people.  They are rooted there and some have figured out how to access the Physical plane via the Astral plane.  Not all are "out to get someone" but they have a completely different set of morals (if any).  Please refer to my post [url=http://www.psionicsonline.net/forums/index.php/topic,3460.msg5314.html#m... for an explanation of how I perceive the three planes to interact.  This (and quoted below) may help you understand the situation a little better.  I don't mean to frighten or intimidate you with this information, just to state that it has always been around you the way you start to perceive it and that it is natural.

Possession, and in relation exorcism:  it is only the weak willed or willing that become possessed and an outside will must combat the demon.  I believe that the only way that the demons can enter the Physical plane is within the body of someone on this plane and the immense amount of willpower and energy it requires just to get through does not leave them room to also combat the host.  The inverse may also be true but I have not heard of anyone possessing a spirit on that plane.

As a reassurance, I have dealt with rogue and lost spirits for a very long time and it is exceedingly rare to encounter anything malignant unless you seek it out intentionally.

I have a fair understanding of daemons, as I interact with the astral regularly, and they are uncommon. daemons are not the same as regular spirits, daemons are much more animal like in behavior. I have written a full article in this post if you wish more information on them:

As for possession, possession can only occur willingly or under a weak mind. This can be good or bad depending on the daemon and your current lifestyle. Out of this the daemon gets a body to maintain it's life force, and the host usually gets the wise guidance of the entity. Note however, that daemons only understand "the nature of things" they do not acknowledge morals. For in that regard morals are simply the result of natural causality taken to a very highly processed degree. Daemons are not evil creatures as they are often regarded, they simply do not abide by morals, they are neutral.

Facing the fears and rooting them out by going deep and thinking it through .. this seems to work pretty well.

@[i]abhinanda[/i]: Although I haven't experienced it myself, I believe that one can learn a lot of pk in just a couple of minutes. If only we would become free from our own fears, what all could we achieve..

If I were to levitate an object, I would be a little shocked. If I were to levitate myself, I would probably walk in circles for 10 minutes, wondering what the heck just happened (at least that's what happened on my first successful pk attempt)  ;D.

I don't know about demons, ghosts or spirits. Maybe I have met some of them; can't be too sure though. I think I saw a Satan goat or somesuch in myself once, some years later I hugged it and it disappeared (lots of happy goat pictures started popping up everywhere).

To the origional poster: You should never be afraid of your own ability. I have never understood this. As a matter of fact, I believe that type of thinking can hold you back in your psionic progress.

I have have what you described happen to me before. Back in my beginner days, practicing with a psiwheel, spinning it at a good speed, mid rotation it jumped up off the nail.

I was thrilled.

On the topic of ghosts/demons and the like, I dont believe in "ghosts" to exist in most cases. I believe most cases of ghosts to be a telepathic echo of a person who was once there. After death, the soul isnt limited to the place of death.
