The spam seems to be getting worse.  It may be time to restrict account creation to an approval process.  True it will be work but far less than this recent round of spam.  You won't catch them all but it will cut down on spammers significantly.

Thanks

Re: SITE ADMIN: Please Read

You have no idea my friend, just how much spam there is. I've been deleting it solidly for 3 days now. I got rid of every spam account that had been registered, and continue to do so everytime I come onto the site, which is regularly. I cannot ban IP's or names or anything like that like I could on a previous forum I hosted, so I'm limited to just deleting their accounts and posts. Metalforever has noticed, trust me. She's working on it.
Member Registration

    Require registration before forum entrance.
Require a user to agree to terms before they register.
Disable member registration completely (allowing only moderators to register people).
Require email authentication by sending an authentication link.
Require a moderator to approve registration.
Register new members from the admin center.
I'm not trying to say anything negative, just making sure that I clarify so that I am not misunderstood in my meaning (which happens a lot).

Re: SITE ADMIN: Please Read

Yes, the spam has been exceptionally bad these past few days. I'm glad to hear that something is being done about it. I wish I could help out in some way... Does it do any justice reporting every single spam topic, or does one report get the message across? Currently I've only been reporting the spam that has made it's way into clean posts, stuff that may be overlooked.

Re: SITE ADMIN: Please Read

You should continue as you have been, any other post I can catch pretty easily. I appologise for any spam you see, its my responsibility to keep it clean, but I can't be on 24/7 and they are QUICK lol.

Re: SITE ADMIN: Please Read

I am not going to restrict user registration.I will, however, be changing forum software very soon to deal with the spam issue.  Please be patient. ^_^
