I was digging through the archived psipog forums and I came across the 'motionless meditation' thread. The technique is self explanatory - you sit for as long as you can without moving. I did this for 20 mins just then. Upon 'waking up', I opened my eyes. Instantly I felt aware of my surroundings. So much so that I felt fear. I opened my eyes and I felt afraid. If you've ever experienced night terrors It was like a watered down version of the fear you feel there.
I think I might have sensed something? Or is it because I haven't been that aware before (fear of the unknown)? An interesting quote to mention here - 'Our greatest fear isn't that we are inadequate. It is that we are powerful beyond measure.' Perhaps that is what's going on in my mind.
Any insight appreciated. I am going to try to do 1 hr tomorrow, and post my results here.
