I have noticed that there is no discussion about invisibility
Is it very difficult to acheive?Do you know any real life examples who has acheived invisibility?
I would be happy to get as much information as possible on this topic
What kind of invisibility, do you want to be invisible to the mind, or do you want light to literally bend around or go through you.
One requires telepathy and some energy manipulation, the other requires phasing or energy manipulation.
I am talking about physical invisibility
It will probably involve bending of light so no one can see you
I imagine the energy required to bend light would be immense on this level of reality. The phasing approach seems more practical, though phasing is also a lost art here. You may have to do some digging. The old PsiPog archives might have some information.
Personally I would imagine you would have better luck with obfuscating, cloak in the minds eye. People would be able to see you, but you would seem like a breeze of air, nothing to be regarded. Works especially well in crowds. They would see you as a hollow shell and forget they saw you the second you left sight. A powerful tool in the right hands.
I have to agree with Arc on this. Bending air is not too hard but bending light would require a massive amount of energy and concentration. In theory, you would need to change the physical density of all the air within your shield to a plasma or near plasma state. A dangerous situation on its own merit.
Thinking along he lines of obfuscating, it requires little to no concentration and the biggest risk is scaring someone by sneaking up on them. I used to do that in highschool all the time not realizing that I was obfuscating. I had a very paranoid friend who made it a practice to always know exactly who was around him and more than once he screamed and jumped out of his skin when I would speak aloud.
Perhaps you would not need to bend or illusion anything, and instead, use a shield that is programmed to mirror what is behind you and vice versa for the front of yourself, basically a mimic of sorts. Take a skyscraper for example, they use pretty mirror-like glass and sometimes (since the sky is all blue or black ) you dont see it at first, it is the same concept as that, except you would want to reverse the direction of perspective.
A friend whom I really trust said that he was sitting among a group of his friends mediating one time and went into a deep state. When he stopped meditating everyone around him sort of gasped; they had not noticed him there. I am not sure how it was accomplished; maybe it was just a coincidence that the friends hadn't paid attention to him or perhaps he had united so well with the pattern and flow of the environment around him that he no longer stood out, more like cloaking his spirit. Or, maybe, it was true invisibility. Who knows. My friend does not, to the best of my knowledge, practice psionics; he and I share a connection through our mutual love of indigenous skills and Earth-based spiritual practices at the Coyote Trails School of Nature in Ashland Oregon.
I know you can use the earth element energy to ground yourself, and It's also slow acting but powerful energy. I don't know how practical it would be for invisibility... *passing thought*, unless you were to use it to create a field around your aura to halt outgoing energy, this way you would not be sensed by passerby's.
I'm pretty sure if you can think of a way to do it, it's doable. Energy requirements is the practicality end of it.
So long story made short, there are many ways to make yourself go unnoticed by the human mind as long as you are quiet. True physical invisibility is not practical. The only advantage I can see that physical invisibility has over perceptive is that technology will not see you. Sound and smell could still give you away.
If you want to be invisible to technology, that's going to take some next level stuff, and it would be highly situational.
