I would like to talk about the subject of telepathy. My experience has been that this is a shared experience and not mind reading.

You can read minds with it. I have personally experienced telepathy as a form of mind reading, projective suggestion (brain hacking), and empathy.
Telepathy is the art of linking minds for communication, all information going to or from you is an auxiliary subset in this skill, though often sought for practicality.
