Whats up,

I used to be very efficient at this, however after a lapse in training I've found it alot more difficult to get the the energy flowing through/around me. I try to start it off in my stomach as a small pulsating blue/whiteish ball giving off light and humming sounds. Then I imagine it growing until it fills my whole body, I picture my organs have been replaced by a glowing blue/white light. Then i try to push it through my skin and let it circulate through my aura. Then i would begin my practicing. Usually would do this for about 5-10 minutes before I'd start to practice. After about a month or so I could get it flowing strongly in under a minute.

Is this a good technique? I remember I'd also use my brain to generate alot of energy, however one time I heard a very loud audible "POP" in my head followed with head rush and dizzieness. I thought I had killed myself! So after that incident I decided to stick with using my body to generate this.

Any tips or advice? Was it a bad thing i used my brain to generate the energy? Appreciate any feedback :D

Re: Activating Aura/Internal Energy

Hey,

Usually it takes some time before the body gets used to more intense flows of psi. This may cause a head rush, dizziness, a feeling of pressure or even headaches. Just take it easy and let your body accommodate. When starting out, some psi channels in the body might be blocked and should be cleared first. Although it might seem that you can cope with it, there might be serious pain the next day.

You could also try different pranayama techniques or energy cultivation exercises from martial arts.

Hmm.. I do jiujitsu (=jujutsu) and kickboxing. Sometimes the soles of my feet are in much pain... could this mean that there are recovery of energy pathways taking place?

You can try focusing on your body, feeling each fiber of it calmly, then palms or soles of the feet, which I cannot often feel at all (energetically).

Pranayama I'll try myself very soon... when, I have the time.

Ah, you could also focus on your Sahasrara chakra and/or Bindu point.

I think this one has a few noticeable physical effects on the body as well - the top of the skull might soften up and a fluid (amrit?) might start trickling down the back of your throat.

Also, when you're starting out with this, take it easy .. it might cause some heavy headaches, dizziness, nausea and what not. It's important to stop it for a moment and clear the blockages when some of the aforementioned symptoms appear. In order for this to go smooth and painless, the lower chakras below Sahasrara should be open. I do not take responsibility for any accidents.

Be careful and tread safely..

Re: Activating Aura/Internal Energy

I always ran energy from the crown to the root for healing and centering. I ended up in jail for a couple months (long story but no crimes involved) and I decided to reverse it from root to crown and my body vibrated more than usual and by the time the energy was moving through my heart my aura started expanding and my spine started tingling in a major way. In my minds eye my energy formed a protective egg around my body and a lotus grew out of the root of my spine and the flower cupped the top of the egg. When the energy got to my crown the contact was complete and I experienced samadhi. When I opened my eyes I remember thinking "wow, I converted to a Hindu in jail"

Welcome to the forum, xyln!

:o Sounds like the experience of a lifetime.

That's interesting.
I've always run it from root to crown.

My experience of the crown flower opening wasn't that strong.
I don't think I've had a full Kundalini awakening just yet. I guess I've been trying to keep it slow and smooth.
