Mind & Body Phenomena Within the Context of Psionics / Psychic Phenomena: A Definition
Mind-Body Phenemona, within the context of Psionics and psychic phenomena, can be defined as activities that have been known to contribute either directly or indirectly to the well being of an individual, have been shown anecdotally to contribute to success in Psionic or psychic-based phenomenon. Other items within the mind-body category are consciousness-based studies, or anything involving dream states(such as out-of-body experiences(OOBE, OBE) or lucid dreaming). Items that we include in this category are meditation, confidence-based studies, consciousness articles, astral projection, out of body experiences(OBE, OOBE), lucid dreaming or bilocation.
Mind & Body Phenomena and Mainstream Science Perception
Mind-Body phenomena is perhaps one of the most accepted fields that we present within the scientific community. Within mainstream science, astral projection and bilocation are perhaps the most controversial fields(due to their “amazing” and hard-to-prove nature) within mind-body studies. Consciousness studies are done widely by scientists and psychologists, and are generally accepted as legitimate. Confidence-based exercises and meditation are generally accepted by scientsists and medical practitioners as beneficial towards stress-related illnesses(though, these should merely be used to compliment frequent visits to the doctor, never as a treatment alone). Lucid dreaming and out-of-body experiences(OBE, OOBE) are generally accepted as a valid phenomena, though whether OBE’s occur out of body is often hotly disputed(most of mainstream science feels that this experience can be equated to a dream).
Meditation, OBE’s, Astral Projection, Lucid Dreaming, and Bilocation
Due to the wide and far reaching nature of Psionic-based skills that are presented in this category, we belief that it is necessary to define each term briefly. Meditation, within the context of Psionics and psychic-based phenomena, can be defined as an activity done with the purpose of greater relaxation, deeper thought processes, and for changes in awareness. Meditation is used frequently to complement general psychic / psionic practice, but may also be used in connection with lucid dreaming, astral projection, or out-of-body experiences (OBE, OOBE). Out-of-body experiences (OBE, OOBE), within the context of psionics and psychic-based phenomena, can be defined as experiences where one perceives his/her self to be outside of his/her own body. Astral Projection (AP), within the context of Psionics and psychic abilities, can be defined as any method of projection that involves projecting the astral body unto the astral plane. Bilocation (also called multilocation), within the context of Psionics and psychic abilities, is a skill whereby an individual has the apparent ability to appear in two places at once.
